It was lightly snowing, so my friend Jon and I took a spin down to a cool little bridge where the train tracks cross over the road. The road curves to the left just before getting there, so they have this handy sign. It’d been shot a couple times with paintballs, but I love the way the streaks of falling snow fly past the bridge behind the sign.

[027/365] – Texture of Leaves

The sun was nice enough to come out to play for a bit today. I quickly ran out and took a few shots, and I really like the texture of the leaves on this one. My friend Randy really likes it when you take photos at a slight diagonal angle, and so I took this one that way. I do like the diagonal lines of the trees across the frame, so I guess he’s right!

Jon has a hell of a tree topper for his Christmas tree, Cthulhu. I have been trying to get some good shots of him for the last couple of days, and since it’s all gray and snowy/blah out there, I chose this picture today. I like the texture of the fabric, and the slightly out of focus lights in the background.

[024/365] – Old Barn Window

Headed down to Connecticut to visit my friend Jon today. I had to get up early, 7am as if it was a real workday, sigh. But I got here with plenty of time available to take some pictures. I wandered around his neighborhood around 3pm and found a few cool things. One thing was this great old dilapidated barn. It’s falling to pieces, but that made for some great shots. What I like about this one is the smooth lines. Vertical, horizontal, and diagonal.
