[018/365] – Convent Chapel

Convent Chapel

Tried to get outside at around 3:15pm to catch the good light from sunset today. I wandered down Capisic Street from my parents place in Portland. I was lucky to catch some of the sun, but barely 30 or 40 minutes into it the sun was gone. This is one of the few shots I am happy with. It’s a small chapel next to a retirement home for nuns. I had no idea it was there, but I guess it’s been there for a long time according to my father.

I like the orange glow of the sun, and the shadows across the front of the chapel.

[010/365] – Malden Church

Malden ChurchTook this one on the way back from CVS after buying a couple of holiday cards. I had to bump to manual and push the shutter down to 1/2 a second to get enough light on the doors. Not toooo bad for hand held. I’m looking forward to next week, when I’m on vacation. I’ll be able to take pictures in the daylight!
