[078/365] – Portrait of a Cat

Portrait of a Cat

Merri’s back from the hospital today, and is reunited with Gianna.

Tonights shot is of my cat Sully. He’s staring off at the sounds of my landlords walking around upstairs. I used a stand-up LED flashlight to shine light on his face, and used my tripod and wireless remote to take the shot. It’s at f/8 this time, so that I got a better DOF than my last couple of shots, which were hand held. I’m lucky he stayed steady for so long, trying to figure out what was going on up there.

Exhaustion has hit pretty hard today, so I think that’s all I have the ability to write tonight. Hope you all enjoy it!

[047/365] – Sully

Sully

This is my other cat, Sully. He’s super awesome. As you can see here, he’s got his arm cocked to the side, in a sort of “Why hello there ladies” sort of way. He’s pretty badass.

I’m a little tired, and therefore I’m pretty punchy, so you can thank that for this picture of Sully!

[041/365] – Duffy Dozing

Duffy Dozing

I worked from home today, so I could do a server upgrade at 6am, so I was lucky enough to be able to take actual pictures in the sunlight today! I was still working, so I took some of my cats, and I really liked this one of the littler one, Duffy. She’s such a cute cat!

I like the colors below her, how they stand out next to her black&white coat.

Kobe RevivedMy friend Jon’s cat Kobe has been very sick lately, but is getting back to normal. He’s got 3 shaved legs due to all the IV’s and shots he needed. I got this great shot of him this morning, just after breakfast.

[012/365] – Mouse POV

Mouse POVIt was so bitterly cold today, I took a couple of pictures on the way home, but nothing jumped out at me. So, I decided to focus on the cats at home. I was going for some “in motion” shots. Them playing with toys, or each other. I got some good ones, but I really really really liked this. This is my cat Sully. He’s just LOOMING over me in this shot. I felt like a mouse!
