[087/365] – Semicircle of twigs and twine

Semicircle of twigs and twine

This afternoons shot was taken in a little park behind the stop and shop at Brigham Circle in Boston.

I had never walked behind there before, even though I knew there was a park. My original intention was to get some shots of Boston itself, which I did. I also got some good shots of the Mission Hill Church. But strangely, I decided to focus on this small circle of twigs and twine that someone had made, and hung in one of the trees.

I don’t know what fascinated me about it so much, but the detail on the ring is fantastic. I love how sharp and clear it is, against the background that is just blurry enough to not be distracting, but you can still kinda tell that it’s trees and grass.

It was shot with my 35mm lens again, 1/3200 of a second, f/2.8 ISO 200.
